Introducing Stop the Bleed PLUS. The next level of Stop the Bleed training and extension of the basic course. Stop the Bleed PLUS  emphasizes practice and repetitions based on real world scenarios, and provides a deep dive into the application, mindset, and practice of Tactical Combat Casualty Care.

No experience necessary. Previous Stop the Bleed courses not a pre-requisite.

Have you ever wondered what you would do if you or someone you care about was injured and experienced life-threatening bleeding? Learn what to do and how to do it effectively with ABD’s half-day Stop The Bleed program. 

Stop The Bleed is an American College of Surgeons program based on Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) which was developed following the experiences of US and allied militaries during recent conflicts. Prior to the wide adoption of TCCC, military personnel were ill-prepared by conventional first aid training to deliver lifesaving care to the types of injuries they encountered on the battlefield. TCCC successfully closed this knowledge gap and saved countless lives since its inception.  

The American College of Surgeons in cooperation with the US Department of Defense recognized that the lessons of TCCC for their direct relevance for civilians in the 21st century and led to the development of the Stop The Bleed program.

• How to manage severe bleeding with everything from your hands to tools like tourniquets and modern dressings

• How to prepare casualties for EMS arrival

• Build your own Individual First Aid Kit (IFAK)

• Other simple and effective interventions that significantly improve patient outcomes

These skills are applicable for everyone and useful in many settings including workplace injuries, accidents in the home or the outdoors.

• Food/water as this course runs for around 5 hours

• Comfortable clothing
